Well, the signs of spring are very evident at my house.
Kelly's soccer season has started, registration has begun for Softball, my baby grass is trying (again) to grow in my little back yard, there is a pair of robins making a nest in our big tree, and the cats will dash for the door at even a HINT that someone is going to open it.
This past weekend, Craig and I went shopping for Easter. We got all the goodies for our Easter buckets, and some really fun spring-time themed gifts.
Heather is coming home for Easter weekend, I'm really excited about that. And, Cyndi is planning a resurrection of the traditional family hike to "Big Rock". When we were young, we used to go out to our Great-Grandparents farm and the family would all hike up to a large reddish rock on the mountainside above the farm. The rock is known as Big Rock to us. Cyndi told me of her idea to go back and hike up there again a couple of weeks ago. What a GREAT idea! I am SOOOOO excited! It should be a lot of fun for everyone. Craig & Kelly have never been up there, and the last time Heather went, she was less than a year old, and I carried her.
I can't wait!

Its only half the hike it used to be now that the new subdivision has built a road nearly to it, but it will still be fun. Its seems like it was just a few years ago we were out at the farm climbing the silo and playing in the barn, but i guess it s been a quit a while. We are getting old. :( There's not much I wouldn't do to have the old farm back in the family. I miss that place.
ReplyDeleteYou can't wait to carry her again? we went Ester dress shopping and it took 6 stores and 3 and a half hours. What will it be like when they are BOTH teenagers.
ReplyDeleteOH! Please take photos and post them (or e-mail them). I'd love to see the view from up there again, but it's a LONG drive....don't think I'd be there in time! ;)
